54. The horses and bullocks belonging to Government are kept in your district to graze: you are to consider the care of these cattle as a charge of the first importance. If the Aumil, Killedar, Serishtadar, Sham­boges, &c. shall make use of a horse or a bullock belonging to Government, five hundred rupees for each horse, and twenty pagodas for each bullock shall be taken from the persons who made use of them, and they shall be dismissed from their offices, and be turned out of the country.

If any person who finds a stray horse or bullock bearing the Government - mark, shall detain it in his own possession, you shall punish such person.
