HAVING made up, according to the established system of our government, the account of pay due to the Jyshe, the Piâdehs, Coolies, &c. you must issue the same in the manner prescribed in your instructions: that is to say, the whole body are to be paid, man by man,* in your own presence. There is no necessity for your consigning the amount of their pay to the Kilaadâr [to be distributed by him]. If you do so, you shall be punished in the manner specified in your Hukm-nâmeh.
