LETTER CCCLIV.
To GHOUS MAHOMMED KHÂN and MAHOMMED AKÂ, DÂROGHAS of
the JINSY TOSHEH-KHÂNEH; same Date. (6th September.)

IT has come to the knowledge of the Presence, that the Dâroghas and Mûtusuddies, as well as Suddanund, and other servants of the jewel office, do not attend [there properly], in consequence whereof the business of one day is protracted to ten. Those [persons] must be strictly enjoined [or severely admonished]: nay, they must be scourged, and made to give [due] attendance, so that the jewellery articles* [upon which they are employed] may be speedily finished.
