DIRECTING the following books, written in a good hand (not crabbed, but plain and legible) to be taken from the Sultan’s library, and dis­patched to the Presence:

OBSERVATIONS.

Several orders, of a similar nature with the above, appear in the present col­lection of letters. As the books in the foregoing list are what may be called school­books, or such as are usually put into the hands of learners, its may be concluded, that the Sultan was accompanied, at this time, by one or more of his younger sons.
