LETTER XX.
To KUMRÛDDEEN KHÂN; same date. (9th April.)

YOUR letter, informing us of your arrival at Koodry-hâl,* together with its enclosure, has been received, and its contents are understood. You must proceed with the force under your command, and encamp near Bûrhânûddeen. Last night, whatever was necessary to be written, was fully written: to that dispatch we therefore refer you.* The enemy’s force is inconsiderable. It is not to be supposed that they will presume to look at our army.*
