A SHORT ACCOUNT OF SOME OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF SHAH BEG.

At the commencement of his youth, Shah Beg went into the presence of Khwaja Abdoola, saying he was a humble man, and he repented before him. At that time he brought perfection to himself, spending much of his time in prayers to God. When he was with his father at Herat, he always attended the assemblies of the learned, and he was in the habit of calling these to his house twice a week. The results of his good sense were “An Explanation of Kaffeeyuh”; “Marginal Notes to the Commentary of Mutalim”; also “Marginal Notes to the Commentary of the Furayuz of Meer Syud Shureef”; and he also wrote notes to other books.
