These were geometry, medicine and music; and the trades were agriculture, weaving and spinning. It is said that these were invented by the efforts of Dubûil and Qayin, the sons of Lamekh, whose genealogy ascends to Qabil, and they acquired celebrity; but He [i.e. Allah] knows best the true state of things.
