Death of Sayyid Ḥasan b. Zayd.

This year the Sayyid fell sick, so that he was unable to sit his horse (f. 119a) and he continued thus sick for a year, and finally expired on Monday, Rajab 3, A. H. 270 (= January 6, A. D. 884), twenty years after he first appeared in revolt. During his year’s illness he bade Abu`l-Ḥusayn Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. Ibráhím, known as al-Qá`im, who was his son in law, to take from the people of Ṭabar­istán the oath of allegiance to his brother Abú 'Abdi`lláh Muḥammad b. Zayd.
