SAYYID IBRÁHÍM

Was the son of Mu'ínu'ddín-b-Abdu'l Ḳádir Ḥusayní. His birthplace was I´raj.* He was the disciple of Shaykh Baháu'ddín Ḳádirí Shaṭṭárí. He was proficient in all learning and rarely equalled for his good deeds. He had travelled much, and in the reign of Sulṭán Sikandar Lodí (A. D. 1517–40) went to Delhi. Shaykh Abdu'llah of Delhi, Miyán Ládan, Mauláná Abdu'l Ḳádir the soapmaker, and other celebrated doctors acknowledged his sanctity. He yielded up his fleeting life in A. H. 953 or 958 (A. D. 1546–51). He was buried at Delhi.
