SHAYKH MAUDÚD AL-LÁRI

Was the disciple of Bábá Niẓám Abdál. He went through the usual course of studies for a time under Mauláná Abdu'l Ghafúr of Lár and sought spiritual guidance from many souls. He was thoroughly versed in the methods of exposition and exegesis of the schools and skilled in the complicated problems of philosophy, and he had met Sháh Niạmat­u'llah Walí and Sháh Ḳásim Anwár. He slept his last sleep in Ramaẓán A. H. 937 (A. D. 1530).
