ḲÁẒI KHÁN.

His name was Yúsuf and his birthplace Ẓafarábád. He was the disciple and vicegerent of Shaykh Ḥasan Ṭáhir, surnamed Kamálu'l Ḥaḳḳ. He was also the disciple of Hájí Ḥámid who was the vicegerent of Ḥusám­u'ddín Mánikpúrí. He acquired secular and theological learning. His spiritual guide, during his own lifetime, charged him with the superinten­dence of his vicegerents, and at his death entrusted to his care his own son Abdu'l Azíz. On the 15th of Ṣafar, A. H. 900 (13th November 1494), he rested from the troubles of the world.
