SHAYKH NAṢÍRU'DDÍN CHIRÁGH-I-DIHLAVÍ, OR THE LAMP OF DELHI.
His name was Maḥmúd and his birthplace Delhi. He was the disciple
and vicegerent of Shaykh Niẓámu'ddín Auliyá. He departed from
this world that all must leave on the 1st of Ramaẓán, A. H. 757, (2nd Sept.
1356).
