SHAYKH NAṢÍRU'DDÍN CHIRÁGH-I-DIHLAVÍ, OR THE LAMP OF DELHI.

His name was Maḥmúd and his birthplace Delhi. He was the dis­ciple and vicegerent of Shaykh Niẓámu'ddín Auliyá. He departed from this world that all must leave on the 1st of Ramaẓán, A. H. 757, (2nd Sept. 1356).
