SHAYKH BADRU'DDÍN ISḤÁḲ

Was the son of Minháju'ddín Bokhárí, but some say he was the son of Alí-b-Isḥáḳ, of Delhi, where he was born. He went through the usual course of studies, but some speculative difficulties not being solved in this country he set out for Bokhárá. At Ajodhan, in intercourse with Ganj i Shakkar, his doubts were removed, and becoming his disciple he set himself to mortify his senses. The Shaykh conferred on him the distinction of being both his vicegerent and his son-in-law. He was buried in that place.
