Begins with the creation of Adam. Their years are natural, solar: their months, artificial, lunar. They reckon their months and days like the Arabians according to an intermediate system. The year is of two kinds, viz., Simple,* which is not intercalary, and Composite, in which an intercalation is effected. Like the Hindus they intercalate a month every three years.*
