DIRECTING the following books, written in a good hand (not crabbed, but plain and legible) to be taken from the Sultan’s library, and dispatched to the Presence:
IN PERSIAN. | IN DEKNY. | |
---|---|---|
Gûlistân, | 1 volume | Khâlik-Bâry |
Bostân, | 1 ditto. | Kureemân |
Yoosûf and Zûleekha, | 2 ditto. | Amdun* |
Several orders, of a similar nature with the above, appear in the present collection of letters. As the books in the foregoing list are what may be called schoolbooks, or such as are usually put into the hands of learners, its may be concluded, that the Sultan was accompanied, at this time, by one or more of his younger sons.
