XLV. KHUSRAVĪ.*

He is sister's son to Mīrzā Qāsim of Junābid.* He came to India after performing the pilgrimage to the Ḥijāz, and he is in the service of the emperor's eldest son.* He is worthy of mention. The following verses are by him:—

“The heart of Khusravī is so inflamed with the light of love
That candles to light his tomb may be made of his bones.”

“The lions of the temple of Makkah will not pollute their
claws with my blood,
Do thou, my companion, regale with this morsel the dogs
of the monastery.”*
