THIS volume is by the same author, and forms part of the Bahr-i Zakkhár. The words of the title form the date of the completion of the volume, viz. 1264 A.H. (1847-8 A.D.).

The work contains at the beginning some matter which is included in the Majma'u-l Mulúk, but the greater part of the volume embraces a much later period than that work extends to, for we have an account of the Sutlej campaigns, and our first entry into Láhore. Much of this latter portion is included in the fourth volume, the Mafátihu-r Ríásat.
