Zīnaħ al-majālis is “an extensive collection of anecdotes connected with historical and geographical matters, completed in 1004/1595”. According to the author’s preface, the anecdotes and stories have been collected from a variety of sources, among them Qāżī Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad al-Ğaffārī al-Qazvīnī’s Nigāristān.
