ʿAbd-Allāh is entirely known for his work Tārīḫ-i Dāʾūdī, written some time during the reign of Mughal Emperor Jahāngīr (r. 1014/1605 to 1037/1627).
The Tārīḫ-i Dāʾūdī is a history of the Afghan rulers of the Delhi Sultanate. The work roughly spans the hundred year period between 854/1450 and 957/1550.
