Sikandar ibn Muḥammad Manjhū ibn Akbar, Miyan Manjhū

Sikandar ibn Muḥammad Manjhū ibn Akbar was in the service of Mīrzā ʿAzīz Kokah, the first Mughal appointed Governor of Gujarāt during the reign of Akbar. He is mostly known for his work Mirʾāt-i Sikandarī, completed ca. 1021/1612.

Mirʾāt-i Sikandarī is a history of the region of Gujarāt from the time of Muẓaffar Šāh I (r. 810/1407 to 813/1410) to the death of Muẓaffar Šāh III and Gujarāt’s capture by the Mughals in 1000/1591.
