Mīrzā Ḫān Muḥammad ibn Faḫr al-Dīn

Mīrzā Ḫān Muḥammad ibn Faḫr al-Dīn enjoyed the patronage of Prince Aʿẓam (son of Mughal ruler Awrangzīb, see Awrangzīb (ʿĀlamgīr I)) at whose request he composed the work for which he is known, Tuḥfaħ al-Hind.

Tuḥfaħ al-Hind is an encyclopedic work on existing Hindū literature, which presented such topics as music, dance, and rhetoric as viewed and practiced by the Hindus. The work was completed in 1086/1675.
