Kīval Rām

Emperor, known for his work Taẕkiraħ al-umarāʾ, (16th century)

Kīval Rām is entirely known for his work Taẕkiraħ al-umarāʾ. Taẕkiraħ al-umarāʾ is a collection of entries on various nobles who served the Mughal Emperor, from the time of Akbar (late 10th/16th century) until Awrangzīb’s death (1119/1707, see Awrangzīb (ʿĀlamgīr I)). The work is divided into two parts: Muslim nobles and Hindū nobles. The year of the work’s completion ranges from ca. 1140/1727–8 to 1184/1770–1 and 1194/1780.
