Ibrāhīm ibn Jarīr

The one known work of Ibrāhīm ibn Jarīr (or Ḥarīr) is the Tārīḫ-i Ibrāhīmī, also referred to as Tavārīḫ-i Humāyūnī or Tārīḫ-i Humāyūn. Tārīḫ-i Ibrāhīmī is a general history beginning with the Prophets and Patriarchs and extending to 956/1549 or 957/1550–1. The work also contains a contemporary account of the reign of Mughal ruler Humāyūn. While the history is “everywhere very concise,” it is interspersed with some biographical notices of the “lives of eminent and learned persons”. The work was completed ca. 957/1550–1.
