Abū al-Ḥasan

Emperor, (1075/1665)

Abū al-Ḥasan served as secretary to the governors of Orissa (present day Central East India) from 1075/1665 to 1080–1/1670 during the reign of Mughal Emperor Awrangzīb (r. 1068/1658 to 1118/1707, see Awrangzīb (ʿĀlamgīr I)). His only known work is Ruqaʿāt-i Ḥasan, a detailed history of Orissa.
