Gulistān-i Raḥmat is a biography of the author’s father, Ḥāfiẓ al-Mulk Ḥāfiẓ Raḥmat Ḫān, who was an Afghan chieftan active in Bareilly (located in present day Uttar Pradesh, India). The work contains valuable information for the study of relations between Afghan tribes. Navvāb Muḥammad Mustajāb Ḫān died in 1248/1833.
